Welcome to The Haven
An online healing sanctuary for surviviors of religious trauma
What is the Haven?
The Haven is for survivors of high-control religous groups seeking a place to heal and rebuild their lives with others who have had similar experiences.Â
The Haven is a guided transformational space that weaves embodiment practices, mindfulness, and restorative healing techniques with the safety of community.
This unique blend creates a sanctuary where survivors of spiritual trauma can find belonging and experience a deeper connection with themselves.Â
Within The Haven Youâll Experience
Somatic Practices
compassionate tools to regulate your nervous system and reconnect with your body's wisdomÂ
Mindfulness Tools
guided practices to deepen awareness and discover clarity using introspection and breathwork
Healing Techniques
integrative methods to gently release old patterns, restore balance, and nurture lasting resilience
Community Support
a safe space of belonging with others who've been on a similar journey and undertstand you
Creating Safety Together
The Haven is a healing circle, not a space for processing individual traumas. To honor the safety and well-being of the group, we focus on exploring somatic (body based) tools, new frameworks, self awareness, and healing techniques you can bring into your daily life. This work is not meant to replace therapy, and it is strongly recommended that you work with a trusted therapist as part of your religious trauma recovery process. If youâre seeking higher-touch support or deeper personal work, consider booking an Embodied Processing Session or Coaching with me.

The Haven is led by Dawn Marian, an intuitive healer, Akashic Records trainer, Reiki Master teacher and guide with years of experience supporting others on their journey to wholeness.Â
Drawing from embodiment and somatic practices, meditation, mindfulness practices, quantum energy healing, and her own experience of breaking free from the cult she was born into, Dawn creates a safe and compassionate space for survivors of religous trauma and high control groups to find their way back to themselves and find inner freedom and peace.Â
Your questions answered
Can I join The Haven if my experience wasnât religious but still involved a high-control cultish group?
Yes. The Haven is open to anyone healing from the effects of high-control environments. If you experienced coercive control over your thoughts, behaviors, relationships, or identity and are seeking healing tools and support in community, this space is for you. The focus of The Haven is empowerment, returning to presence with yourself, and reclaiming your wholeness. The tools offered support anyone actively reclaiming their sovereignty and finding their way home to themselves.
What makes The Haven different from the XJW Recovery Group?
The XJW Recovery Group is a peer support space created specifically for former Jehovahâs Witnesses. The Haven is broader, designed for survivors of all high-control groups and experiences of religious trauma. While the XJW Group centers on shared understanding and support, The Haven focuses on healing and growth through guided somatic practices, mindfulness tools, and energy-based techniques alongside community connection.
How private is this group?
Very. We meet on Zoom in a closed setting where only registered participants are present. Breakout rooms are never recorded, and replays are shared exclusively inside The Haven archive, accessible to members only.
What if I canât make it live-- will there be a replay?
Yes. Members receive access to all replays through The Haven archive, making it easy to stay connected even if you canât join live. Drop-in passes are designed for single-session participation and do not include replay access.
Can I cancel my membership anytime?
Yes. You can cancel at any time. Your access will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You can easily manage your subscription inside your Haven account, or reach out to [email protected] if youâd like a little help.
I have other questions. Who can I ask?Â
Email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to answer your questions about the group.
